President and Sister Carmack

John K. Carmack was sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy April 7, 1984, at the age 52, while president of the Idaho Boise Mission. He has served as a regional representative and a stake president. He received a B.A. degree from BYU, a law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has been an attorney and a legislative assistant in the California Legislature. He was president of a law firm in Los Angeles and past president of Westwood Bar Association. He was born in May 10, 1931, in Winslow, Arizona, to Cecil E. and Gladys Bushman Carmack. He married Shirley Fay Allen. The are the parents of five children. (Source: Church Almanac)
Elder and Sister Carmack served as president of the Porto Portugal Mission for two months, from February to April 2000. At the time he was serving in the Area Presidency.
