During the two weeks of the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host the world at the Conference Center for a production entitled "Light of the World, A Celebration of Life". In a large section of this show we are seeking to represent as many cultures and nations of the world as possible through national and festival dress.

In the spirit of missionary work we are "opening our mouths" and asking the members of the Church to help us accomplish this task. We are seeking individuals in the extended Salt Lake Valley area who can represent their own nation and culture or ancestry with their natioal or festival dress. We are seeking all age ranges. We are also welcoming returned missionaries who have costumes from the countries they served in or members who own costumes which we may borrow for the purpose of the show. We are also asking for help from any members who may have contacts through which we may accomplish the same purposes.

If you are interested in being a host or hostess, or can help us in any way, please contact Candida Nichols, Associate Costume Designer over international costumes, toll free at the Conference Center at 1-800-453-3860 ext.
All times are MT (US).
All dates are in Month-Day-Year format.
