Hey Everyone,
I have to share a small experience I had the other day. I was at the Mesa, AZ temple and while I was there, three newly called missionaries were going through for the first time. I could not believe how young they looked! Did we all look that young on our mission? They didn't look a day over 15. That got me thinking a lot about my own experiences and how young I was. Next month marks 10 years since I entered the MTC. Much has happened since then, but I will never forget that day. The entire experience feels like it happened just yesterday. Many great memories and wonderful experiences. Please take care!

i totally agree! we had a return missionary speak here in our gilbert,az ward - and i couldn't believe how long he looked either! (i guess that means we're getting older - cuz we're not getting younger - right?!) -- it really was a long time ago.....
my husband and i talk about how we would be as missionaries now - how we feel that we know so much more and would be more prepared......and it is true in some ways - but then we also know that serving a mission with that freshness and excitement and learning to rely on the Lord and not only on our own knowledge - that is what makes missionaries ...... shaped by those experiencias....
those were wonderful days - and many wonderful days have followed......i am so grateful for that time! thanks to all of you for sharing it with me! love to all!
be true........CTR - sismichelle :) |
