just thought i would post yet another message and say happy thanksgiving to all!!!! we are going up to utah for that weekend.....our first time since we were married almost five years ago! it will be nice :)
just wanted to write and let anybody that looks on here know that i am so grateful for my time as a missionary in portugal.....and i am grateful for each one of you that i served with - for the ways that you touched my life and inspired, encouraged, and pushed me to become who i need to be.....not only then - but every day since then........i wouldn't be who i am without each of you and your friendships and examples - so especially at this time of thanksgiving - i send out a big obrigada to my friends of portugal!!

| Sister Michelle, my long lost companion! How was your Thanksgiviing? I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to see you while you were here. I often wonder how my companions are doing. I'm glad that you are so good at keeping in touch, because I'm terrible at it. I would love to hear how you are doing, and all about your kids. I think about the mission all the time. I wonder how my compainions are doing and how the members in Portugal are. I can't believe how much I miss it after 6 years!! Can you believe it? We have been home forever! Life is great! hope to hear from you soon. |

how great to hear from you "sister thurber" :) did you eat lots of potatoes at thanksgiving ?! :) heehee :) i know exactly what you mean about missing portugal and companions and all - that is one reason i try to use this site as often as i can to try and reach people i haven't heard from - like you :) so it is just a great blessing!
i appreciate all of you out there - and hope you know that the friendships that we began in portugal still lift me and teach me every day - and i love you all!
