The purpose of this web site is to serve the interests of the LDS missionaries who served in the Portugal Porto Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1996 to 2003. President and Sister West, President and Sister Carmack, and President and Sister Soares served as mission presidents during this period. Hopefully, this site can facilitate communication among those who served in Portugal and thus maintain and strengthen the friendships developed. We want to remember the people and the culture of Portugal that we came to love. In addition, as a group with a common experience, we want to support each other in our future endeavors.

We recognize that new LDS missionaries called to serve in the Portugal Porto mission will be interested in learning about the mission and the cities. Likewise, their families are likely to share that interest. Consequently, we have tried to provide information and pictures that will be helpful to this audience as well.

This site is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). Joseph West is solely responsible for the content of the site.
